The design and delivery of technical and scientific content at companies, schools, and universities is strongly affected by fast advancing technology and growing understanding of instructional design. The book begins with an overview of two presentation modes: online and face-to-face content delivery. The design part includes guidelines to avoid common problems with PowerPoint presentation, scientific writing, and chart design. It also contains essential knowledge and tools necessary to design effective online courses. The delivery part includes effects of teacher enthusiasm, tone of voice, the choice of topic, and to what extend the presentation mode affects mind wandering.
