Preparing for Design-Build Projects: A Primer for Owners, Engineers, And Contractors

In the last 20 years, design-build contracting has become the method of choice in public and private construction projects. This reference answers the need for guidance in business practices and relationships used in a design-build project. Gransberg (construction science, U. of Oklahoma), Koch (vice-president, Hill International) and Molenaar (construction engineering and management, U. of Colorado, Boulder) use learning modules that break down the decision-making process and reassemble it as a straightforward method for implementing projects. They also teach their readers how to develop and to interpret design-build requests for qualification and requests for proposals. Annotation ©2006 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
