Presbyterian Princess is Ms. Carrigan's third novel. Her other books, The Siren Star and Minotaur in a Mushroom Maze, both co-authored with her husband Dick Carrigan, were serialized in Analog Magazine. The Siren Stars was published by Pyramid and translated into French and Russian. She was a member of the Poet's Club of Chicago and won many prizes for her work including two in the Writer's Digest competition. She was a guest of the Chinese at the 19th World Congress of Poets in Tai'an City. Her poems have been published in Chinese as well as English. Beyond her poetry and writing, Carrigan had an active life as a Chicago area artist. In order to research dance from the inside out for a series of paintings and sculpture on the subject, she took lessons in many forms of dance for over ten years. One of the dance pieces she designed for a Chicago company was featured in National Geographic.
