A comprehensive description of Peru including the territory, natural history, mineralogy, commerce, Lima, native peoples, topography, literature, climate, etc. The Longevity section describes Don Juan Modesto who lived to 133 years. Appendices describe missions to Caxamarquilla, travels to river Huallago, lake of Gran Cocama in 1790, rivers Maranon and Ucayali, and to Manoa tribes in 1791, travels in mountainous territories, itinerary from Chavin to Chicoplaya.
