Overall fair-good considering the age. Brown leather spines with raised compartments and debossed gold printing. Cracks to the leather along the edges or the spine but binding holding very well with no guttering apparent to Vol 1. Vol 2 has guttering inside with some looseness but binding holding. Marbled cloth on the faces of the boards. Some staining and visible aging. Corners and edges of the boards heavily worn. Some foxing inside but limited, mainly in page margins. Paper is browning due to age. Pencil marking on 1 or 2 pages. Overall binding quite solid for its age. WR.
