Presenting Mark Russell

SIGNED Stated second printing, 1980; signed by author with inscription personal friend; 190 p., clean and otherwise unmarked; binding firm; boards well protected by phtoographic d.j., itself with a little chipping at edges. Insert "An Russell Exits Laughing" Washington Post clipping on the occasion of Mark Russell's retirement from his Washington, D.C. Shoreham Hotel venue after 30 years; he continued his routines on PBS till well into the 21st century. Wearing similar eye glasses, he was the link between the musically gifted, satirical but not particularly political Steve Allen and the not particularly musical but satirical and very political Stephen Colbert. Bob Hope called him "The funniest man in Washington outside of Congress.".
