About the Author

Jill Nice was born in London and brought up in East Anglia, where an abundance of fresh fruit and vegetables led to a fascination for the varied ways in which the natural harvest could be put imaginative use, and a passionate, long-lasting love of preserving. Jill was trained as a demonstrator and put this knowledge of food preparation to good use running a market stall selling preserves and cakes. She has appeared on radio and television, and is the author of many books. Jill lives by the sea in Dorset with her husband, children and grandchildren and continues to cook and write for pleasure and profit.
