Originally published as a 1969 Ace paperback, this is the first hardcover edition: the January 1970 Ace/SFBC book club edition in gray hardcovers with green titles on its spine, SFBC catalog ID "2134" on its jacket's back flap, and 1st printing code "48K" (November 1969) on the bottom of its page 309. This book is in very good condition, marred only by bumps on its covers' spine ends and corners. Its binding is sound and square, with no spine crease. Covers are unmarked and otherwise unworn, with unfaded and unworn green titles on its spine. Pages are unmarked and unworn, with no toning to their paper. Its dust jacket, now protected by a removable mylar cover, is also in very good condition: whole and unmarked, marred only by light wear on the ends of its spine and flap folds, some light mottling of the green on its back, and a thin line of sun darkening along its top edge, but otherwise bright and unworn. I will ship this book in a moisture proof zip-loc bag, padded in bubble wrap, inside a sturdy box to assure it reaches its new owner in the same condition as my description. Seller Inventory # 004073
