Photographer Eirini Pajak uses a technique known as focus-stacking, wherein she shoots with the lens almost wide open, then manually focuses through the plane of a flower, one millimeter at a time. A suggestion from a monk at St. Anthony's Monastery in Florence, Arizona, helped shape Eirini Pajak's photographic style. After mentioning that she should begin photographing wildflowers, the monk "added, specifically, not to overlook even the tiniest flowers," Pajak remembers. Since, she's used a technique known as focus-stacking, wherein she shoots with the lens almost wide open, then manually focuses through the plane of the flower, one millimeter at a time. After, she "stacks" the images using a computer program.
