With a hair and feather wing Atlantic salmon fly, the Silver Doctor, dressed on a size 6/0 hook that is mounted within a double matted oval on the inside of the front cover. Signed by Mr. Talleur. The Silver Doctor is elegantly dressed and showcases the skill and talent of Dick Talleur. This same fly appears on the book's dust jacket. This Presentation Edition was given to Bob Mead, a close friend and fellow fly dresser of extraordinary talent. Bob's artificial flies have appeared in books and periodicals. A letter from Dick Talleur and addressed to Bob Mead is laid-in the book. The book shows in color step-by-step photos how to dress salmon flies that are at once beautiful and practical. Presentation copies of this book are scarce. The book is bound in black cloth with gilt titles. Pictorial dust jacket. A nice book. All in fine condition.
