The Priesthood of the Laity

The Priesthood of the Laity: Historically and Critically Considered, by A. R. Ryder, explores the historical development and theological implications of the concept of the priesthood of all believers. This book delves into the evolving roles of lay members within the Christian church, examining how the understanding of their participation in ministry and church governance has shifted over time.

Ryder critically analyzes the historical context that shaped the doctrine, offering insights into the theological foundations that support the active involvement of the laity in the church's mission. This book provides a valuable resource for those interested in understanding the historical and theological significance of the laity's role in the church.
