For this revised edition the author has added material dealing with children's books in other countries than England so that the section " Children's Books Abroad" deals with titles published in the United States, Canada, Australia, Italy, France, Spain, Germany, Switzerland, The Netherlands, and Scandinavia. Illustrations include reproductions of covers or title pages of outstanding children's books, and there are extensive chapter bibliographies. Price clipped, else very fine.
