About this Item
Good condition tan soft cover. The spine cover is torn up and half missing, the binding is fully exposed and there is some tape remnants around the spine. Slight bumping on the corners. Toning on the text block, interior is clean with solid but loose binding. Previous owners wrote their names on the cover. The book is a study on stone working of indigenous groups from the midwest. Halvor Skavlem a Norwegian immigrant was very interested in these stone tools and began attempting to make tools in the ways he thought they would have been made. He became skilled at this practice and through trial and error he came up with a way to work stone that nearly the same to those Native Americans who made them originally. Thus he was able to better study the different kinds of arrowheads and other tools to better know who made them and when. Seller Inventory # 0022464
