Synopsis

This is, as the title suggest, a follow up to their earlier work, Primitive Wilderness Living & Survival Skills. The advanced comes from chapters dealing with brain tanning robes & furs (leaving the hair on is many times more difficult) and the making of a 20 foot long dug out canoe using nothing but stone tools. Also Many bits & pieces are inserted to build on skills learned from their earlier work. Applied comes from illustrating just how these skills could be applied on a day to day survival/living situation. As with all their teachings, physics are shown to accomplish the task at hand leaving the spiritualism, mysticism, dancing and story telling to others.

About the Author

John & Geri have been practicing the skills that they teach for many years, John since 1975 and Geri since meeting John in 1987. They live in an unelectrified log home that they built themselves. They have gained the reputation as being among the best in the country when it comes to the practical application of primitive skills. They spend their time extensively traveling, gathering materials, studying and teaching these skills. Unlike many other teachers and authors in this field, they spend the majority of their time practicing what they preach. They have just finished another log home, built from scratch, and are in the process of writing and illustrating a book on how they did it - spending less than $3,500. The out of doors is their life.
