This book contains abstracts from eighteen deed books -- containing both deeds and wills -- that chronicle the years 1691 to 1783 in Princess Anne County. Considerable genealogical information can be found in these records. Deed abstracts include page number in the original deed book, date recorded, given and surnames of grantor(s) and grantee(s) and their relationship to one another, consideration, brief description of property, and witnesses. Information in will abstracts includes page number in the original deed book, date recorded, the date the will was written, the date of probate, testator, given and surnames of those named in the will and their relationship to one another, brief description of willed articles, witnesses, and executors.
