About the Author

Isaac Jarnot is a poet and independent scholar. He was born in Buffalo, New York in 1967 and received a bachelor's degree in English from the State University of New York at Buffalo. From 1992–1994 he was a student in the MFA program at Brown University and in 2021 he received a Masters of Divinity degree from New York Theological Seminary. He has worked as a teacher, hospital chaplain, and ornamental gardener. He is currently completing PhD coursework at Drew Theological School. His research interests include decoloniality, climate collapse, and the anthropocene extinction.
