Principles of Accounting: Accounting For Beginners

The book is written for the students encountering accounting as a subject for the first time. It attempts to relate theory to practice with regard to basic accounting concepts and standards. The authors have presented the concepts in a clear and systematic way and have simplified the matter to ensure better understanding of concepts. The topics are arranged in such a manner that there is gradual progression in the development of the skills. Users of this book will find it easy to follow as examples with worked solutions are provided. Also some activities are set regularly in each unit for self learning and assessment purposes.

Mufaro Rindai Chiwanza holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from the University of South Africa, Republic of South Africa and a Master of Business Administration from Midlands State University, Zimbabwe. Currently she is head of the Faculty of Commerce in the Zimbabwe Open University's Midlands Region. She has interests in research.
