This book deals with the principles of atomic physics and electronics to G.C.E. Advanced and Special standards, and covers generally the modern physics syllabus of the examining boards. No attempt has been made to include details of laboratory experiments, which will be found in practical sources listed at the back of the book. The text is an expansion of earlier work by the author, but as it necessarily provides only an introduction to the subjects, further details must be obtained from the references given at the end.The book begins with the forces on electrons and ions in electric and magnetic fields, and the energy of these particles. Radioactivity and the atomic nucleus are then discuss.
