The Principles of Fruit Growing

BOOK in very good condition. Original Dark Olive green boards with gilt titling on spine and black bordered title on front cover. Gilt top edge of textblock. Previous Owner's name on front end paper. Title page missing. 516pp and 8pp of Publisher's catalogue. Preface, Appendix, Index. CONTENTS: Numerous illustrations throughout the text are most interesting - e.g. Rig for Spraying shows a wooden structure almost 6metres high with a tank and presumably a pump, three men to operate it, and all horse drawn through the orchards. Much of the advice is still relevant today making it a useful book as well as historically interesting. Size: 190x130mm.
