In this Third Edition, the text has been again very largely rearranged and rewritten. The most obvious change in form consists of the segregation of the chapters of the book into nine groups. This 1941 textbook gives a good perspective of all forms of U.S. transportation in the 1930s-1940s. Well-traveled textbook stamped, "Pan American Airways, Inc. Africa-Orient Division" on front and back inside covers. Former owner's name written on front flyleaf, with scattered pencil notations throughout. This textbook contains a wealth of history about the U.S. transportation system. As shown, cover is soiled but book is sturdy and square. Corners are bumped. Back inside cover and flyleaf have dried glue residue from previous attachments. Inside back cover is date-stamped Jan. 3, 1946. Text pages are clean. No marked, creased, or torn pages, with normal aging/age spotting over time. Book will be carefully packaged for safe delivery.
