Principles of Insurance Law

The fifth edition of Principles of Insurance Law has been substantially revised, reorganized, and updated. The book has been re-envisioned to make it as "ready to teach" as possible, with both full-time faculty and the busy practitioner/adjunct instructor in mind.

Substantially shortened, this new edition has been re-designed to best fit with how instructors would organize a typical insurance course. Basic concepts, important doctrine, current controversies, key cases, and judicial divisions are presented not only by exemplar cases but also through forward discussion.

In addition to providing a broad overview of insurance theory and operation as well as the practicalities of insurance coverage litigation, Principles of Insurance Law contains numerous problems, exercises, and illustrations designed to spur class discussion and test student learning.

Principles illuminates the controversies and challenges that make insurance law such a fascinating field, while also providing students a window into insurance disputes that impact practicing attorneys.
