Some Principles Of Liturgical Reform: A Contribution Towards The Revision Of The Book Of Common Prayer (1911)

""Some Principles of Liturgical Reform"" is a book written by Walter Howard Frere in 1911. Frere was an Anglican monk and liturgical scholar who sought to contribute to the revision of the Book of Common Prayer. The book outlines Frere's proposed principles for liturgical reform, including a greater emphasis on congregational participation, simplification of the liturgy, and the use of more vernacular language. Frere also argues for a greater focus on the Eucharist as the central act of worship and suggests changes to the structure and content of the communion service. The book is a significant contribution to the history of Anglican liturgical reform and remains relevant to contemporary discussions of worship and liturgy. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
