Third Edition, "Thoroughly Revised." Tall octavo. 540pp. Illustrated in black and white. Owner name and stamp of a noted American psychologist on the front fly. Binding slightly cocked else a near fine copy lacking the dust jacket. Davis was a well-regarded neurosurgeon but apparently seen as as something of a "maverick." He was also the stepfather of Nancy Reagan; from Davis' obituary in *The New York Times*: "A conservative, he was said to have been influential in bending his daughter in that direction and, through her, Ronald Reagan.".
