Item description from seller

B & W photos, Diagrams and Figures; Large 8vo 9" - 10" tall; 531 pages; Los Angeles: Bireley & Elson Printing, 1916. Fourth edition. Octavo. Publisher’s ribbed green cloth, titles in gilt to spine. Mild foxing to the frontispiece plate and rear endpage. A small number of pages in the opening chapters with faint red wax-pencil underlining. Provenance: Ownership inscription of S. E. Yoder, "P. C. Laid in at front are two mimeographed Principles of Osteopathy sophomore examinations (1923) together with a reprinted Digest article bearing a printed and signed solicitation for the purchase of an Alpine Ultra Violet Lamp and a Dynelectron Portable High Frequency Machine, reflecting the electrotherapeutic devices marketed to osteopathic practitioners in the period.
