Publisher s ribbed green cloth, titles in gilt to spine. Illustrated throughout with black-and-white photographs, figures, and diagrams. Cloth lightly crimped at spine ends with trace rub-through at corner tips. Mild foxing to the frontispiece plate and rear endpage. A small number of pages in the opening chapters with faint red wax-pencil underlining. Provenance: Ownership inscription of S. E. Yoder, "P. C. O. 23" (Philadelphia College of Osteopathy). Yoder was Dr. Solomon Elmer Yoder (1893 1991) , later an osteopathic physician practicing in Lancaster, Pennsylvania; his business card is laid in. Laid in at front are two mimeographed Principles of Osteopathy sophomore examinations (1923) together with a reprinted Digest article bearing a printed and signed solicitation for the purchase of an Alpine Ultra Violet Lamp and a Dynelectron Portable High Frequency Machine, reflecting the electrotherapeutic devices marketed to osteopathic practitioners in the period. Solid and generally clean copy. Uncommon in the trade. VG.
