People's Edition. Published by Longmans, Green and Dyer in 1875. Originally issued in 1848, this work is regarded as a foundational text of nineteenth-century economic thought. Bound in the original publisher's cloth, the boards show expected signs of age, including some discolouration, particularly to the rear board, light wear to the corners, and sun fading to the spine, all typical of books of this period. Internally, there is light foxing to the frontispiece, while the remainder of the text block is largely clean and bright. The binding is sound, with no loose pages.
