Item description from seller

Second edition, 1872, a revised and extended edition. Has the bookplate of Sir James Ramsden of Barrow a distinguished British mechanical engineer of Barrow in Furness. Some foxing mostly at the beginning and end. Generally a very good clean bright copy internally. Publishers maroon cloth, boards lightly marked, top three inches of spine missing and spine edges split and very slightly chipped. An interesting association.
