The Printed Hebrew Text Of The Old Testament Vindicated: An Answer To Mr. Kennicott's Dissertation (1753)

""The Printed Hebrew Text of the Old Testament Vindicated: An Answer to Mr. Kennicott's Dissertation"" is a book written by Comings Fowler. Published in 1753, it aims to refute the arguments presented by Benjamin Kennicott in his dissertation that the printed Hebrew text of the Old Testament was inaccurate and needed revision. Fowler argues that the traditional Hebrew text was based on ancient manuscripts and was therefore reliable. He also defends the integrity of the Masoretic text, which was used as the basis for the printed Hebrew Bible. The book provides a detailed analysis of the textual variants and discrepancies found in the Hebrew Bible and offers a strong defense of the traditional text. It is a valuable resource for scholars and students of Biblical studies, textual criticism, and Hebrew language. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
