Bound in publisher's original red cloth with spine stamped in gilt. Illustrated frontispiece, and illustrated throughout with diagrams, drawings, and reproductions of etchings in black and white, including one fold-out, intact. Previous owner's signature on front free endpaper. Sunning to spine and very minor rubbing to corners. 5 x 7 1/2 inches. 530 pages plus appendix.
