An early 1920s issue of "The Printing Art", a serial "devoted to the development of Printing and Printed Salesmanship". Includes articles on offset printing, marketing, advertising as an art form, and the business of printing. Includes illustrations throughout, including exemplars of advertising printing to accompany the articles. Provides invaluable insight into how the advertising and printing industries were rapidly growing together in the 1920s, and pushing related industries forward as well, such as the book publishing industry. Includes many pages of adverts for printers, publishers, and related vendors. Single vol. (12.25" by 9.25"), pp. 301-404, illus., in original printed brown wrps with table of contents on upper wrapper. Good. Wrappers damaged and separated as a result of rust-staining from staples, chipping, light dust soiling. Missing tip-in of an Offset-Printed Booklet Cover.
