Prison Prodigy

A rising star in law enforcement, Kyle Overmyer seemed destined for a life of service until opioid addiction shattered everything. One of Ohio’s youngest sheriff-elects, Overmyer’s fall was public and catastrophic, costing him his career, his family, and his freedom. But his journey didn’t end behind prison walls. Forged in the truths revealed by a higher power, accountability, recovery, frying battered chicken at minimum wage, and a renewed sense of purpose, Overmyer rebuilt his life and emerged as a powerful advocate for those fighting the same battles he once faced. This is a true story born at rock bottom—written for anyone who has ever risen from it.
