Such proactive planning and control ultimately contributes to reducing risk in the future processes, improving collaboration and coordination among project participants, and optimizing resource use.

About the Author

Dr. Seokyon Hwang is Assistant Professor of Civil Engineering at Lamar University. He received a Ph.D. degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He has also worked for Daewoo Engineering & Construction as a project engineer. His research focuses on the sustainable engineering and management of A/E/C projects.
