Probability (Middle Grades Mathematics Project)

Students become effective problem solvers as they discover significant relationships in mathematics and acquire logical thinking that helps take the "problem" out of problem solving. As students learn to group ideas, make key mathematical connections, and develop strategies, they gain confidence in meeting a range of mathematical challenges. Teacher Source Books contain reproducible worksheets, teacher instruction models, review problems, a unit test, and complete answers. Probability/Grades 6-9

Probability, by Phillips, Lappan, Winter, and Fitzgerald, introduces the concepts of probability-fair games, equally likely outcomes, expected value, simulations, Pascal's Triangle, and the binominal distribution.
