The Problem Of The Pentateuch: A New Solution By Archaeological Methods (1920)

The Problem of the Pentateuch: A New Solution by Archaeological Methods is a book written by Melvin Grove Kyle in 1920. In the book, Kyle addresses the longstanding debate among scholars regarding the authorship and historicity of the first five books of the Bible, known collectively as the Pentateuch. Kyle argues that traditional theories of authorship, such as the Mosaic authorship theory, are unsupported by archaeological evidence and proposes a new solution based on archaeological findings. The book is divided into two parts: the first part provides an overview of the Pentateuch and the various theories of authorship, while the second part presents archaeological evidence that Kyle believes supports his new solution. The book is aimed at scholars of biblical studies and archaeology, as well as anyone interested in the history of the Bible and the origins of Judaism and Christianity. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
