In August 1989, more than 700 Soviet algebraicists and more than 200 foreign mathematicians convened in Novosibirsk, Russia for an International Conference on Algebra dedicated to the memory of A.I. Mal'cev (1909-1967), the great Russian algebraicist and logician. The proceedings are in three volumes, available individually. Part 1 (5136-5, $80) covers groups and geometry; Part 2 (5137-3, $79) covers lie algebras, rings, fields and skew fields/differential algebras, and nonassociative rings; and Part 3 (5138-1, $70) covers universal algebras, categories, and combinatorics, algebraic geometry, and logic.
