About the Author
Prof. Nihar Ranjan Roy is a faculty member in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College (AKGEC), Delhi-NCR, India. He holds a Ph.D. and M.Tech in Information Technology from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi, and a B.E. from Biju Patnaik University of Technology, Rourkela.With over 23 years of teaching and research experience, Prof. Roy has authored numerous research papers published in reputed journals and international conferences. He actively contributes to the academic community as a reviewer for SCI-indexed journals published by IEEE, Wiley, Elsevier, and Springer. He has chaired technical sessions at international conferences and reviewed numerous research submissions. His research interests include Computer Networks, Cyber Security and Forensics, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. He has 4 published patents and 1 granted patent to his credit, and is currently supervising three Ph.D. scholars. An IBM-certified instructor for 16 courses, Prof. Roy has trained school students, undergraduate learners, and corporate professionals in Python and emerging technologies. He has received several accolades, including the Best Teacher Award and Best Researcher Award. He also serves as an Associate Editor of Neural Computing and Applications (Springer).
Dr. Brajendra Panda is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Computer Engineering at the University of Arkansas. He earned his M.S. in Mathematics from Utkal University, India, in 1985, followed by teaching mathematics in India before moving to the United States in 1988. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from North Dakota State University in 1994 and began his academic career at the College of West Virginia. He later served at Alabama A&M University and the University of North Dakota before joining the University of Arkansas in 2001. Dr. Panda’s research interests span Database Systems, Computer Security, and Information Assurance. He has published extensively in these domains and secured nearly $2.5 million in funded research, supported by agencies such as the NSF, Department of Defense, AFOSR, and AFRL. He also worked as a research fellow at the Air Force Research Laboratory in 1997 and 1998.
Dr. Malka N. Halgamuge is a Senior Lecturer in Cybersecurity at RMIT University, Melbourne, and Chair of the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society, Victorian Section. She earned her Ph.D. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from The University of Melbourne, where she also worked as a researcher for over a decade. Her expertise spans Cybersecurity, AI Security, Blockchain, IoT, and Data Communications, with research outputs cited over 5500+ times (h-index 37). She has served as Chief Investigator on projects totaling AUD $1.5M, funded by agencies including DFAT, the Department of Defence, and ATSE. Previously at La Trobe University, she coordinated over 40 micro-credential courses and managed the $4.7M Cyber Security Skills Partnership Innovation Fund with leading industry partners. Dr. Halgamuge has received prestigious fellowships and awards from CAS, AII, Humboldt Foundation, and others, and has consistently ranked among the world’s top 2% most cited researchers (Stanford, 2020–2024)
