This volume contains the proceedings of the Second Pan American Scientific Congress, held in 1917. Featuring contributions from leading scientists and scholars across the Americas, the proceedings offer a comprehensive overview of the scientific, cultural, and political landscape of the era. The collection provides insights into the discussions and collaborations that shaped inter-American relations during a pivotal period in history.

Organized under the leadership of Leo Stanton Rowe and Glen Levin Swiggett, the congress aimed to foster greater understanding and cooperation among the nations of the Western Hemisphere. The papers within this volume address a wide array of topics, reflecting the diverse interests and expertise of the participants. This historical record is invaluable for researchers interested in the history of science, international relations, and Latin American studies.
