Amlodipine and Olmesartan medoxomil is a combination of a calcium channel blocker and an angiotensin II receptor antagonist used to treat high blood pressure . The Content uniformity was found of both the drugs were performed. Release study was conducted in pH 6.8 buffer media. Furthermore, dissolution profile comparison was carried out using similarity factor (f2) and the similarity factor of Amlodipine and Olmesartan Medoxomil found to be 73. Other studies Like DSC and FTIR studies reported compatibility of Amlodipine besylate with excipients like Cross Carmel lose sodium was performed shows no chemical interaction between drug and excipients. Dissolution profile of Test and Reference standard found to be similar, Similarity factor (f2) is 73.
