This engraving features a man in a dark robe standing by a desk holding a book by a chain handle. This engraving has been colored with brown accents for the desk's wooden legs and the clasps on the book. The artwork was done by Thomas Uwins and engraved by J. Agar. This engraving was from Rudolph Ackermann's book "History of the University of Cambridge, Its Colleges, Halls, and Public Building" published in 1815 by L. Harrison and J.C. Leigh. Measures 13 1/4" x 10 1/2" Minor soiling due to age. The left edge where it was cut from the book is not perfectly straight. Minor water stain on top right.
