The Prodigal Son

With the hovering overtones of faith, hope and love, The Prodigal Son is a coming of age tale and classic work that explores the intense relationship dynamic of father and son through prose poetry. It chronicles the physical, mental and spiritual voyage of a strained relationship, while simultaneously exposing a parallel journey of self discovery. Born on the islands of Trinidad & Tobago then moving to Brooklyn, New York at the age of ten. Jason Haynes creatively weaves childhood anecdotes with short stories of tragedy, homelessness and depression providing a powerful narrative of hope and redemption for all.

Jason Haynes is a poet, author, spoken word artist and musician who attended Nyack College for Music Performance. His background as a classically trained flautist coupled with life's trials and adversities soon became the impetus behind his debut work, The Prodigal Son. He currently lives in NJ where a tiny 5 year old has now become his greatest battle and most cherishing memory. Cheers.
