In order to increase the production and productivity of vegetables in India, there is an urgent need for development of a suitable literature in the form of a book dealing with recent technologies on various aspects of important tropical and sub-tropical vegetables crops. The book production technology of tropical and sub tropical vegetable crops has been compiled by the authors as per the fourth dean committee recommendation of ICAR, New Delhi. The authors have tried together to incorporate most of the information available on cultivation practices varieties released by different ICAR institutes and SAUs as well as other important aspects of vegetable production based on research results.
