About the Author
Katie Kross is a student advisor, career coach, and educator who hascounseled and inspired hundreds of MBA students to go on tosustainability careers with Fortune 500 companies, social andenvironmental nonprofits,mission-driven companies, and startups. Herpractical, solutions-oriented approach to the sustainability job searchhas led professionals and students alike to seek her out as a careercoach. Katie is managing director of the Center for Energy, Development, and the Global Environment (EDGE) at Duke University's Fuqua School ofBusiness in Durham, North Carolina. A sought-after speaker, she haspresented to business school audiences across the country. She hasserved on the boards of the U.S. Partnership for Education forSustainable Development and the North Carolina Sustainability Center.Katie is a regular contributor to publications on topics related tocareers in sustainability and publishes career search resources andstrategies on her blog at professionandpurpose.com. She holds a BA fromDavidson College and an MBA from UNC.
