About the Author
Dr. J. Val Hastings, MCC, is the Founder and President of Coaching4Today'sLeaders, Coaching4Clergy, Coaching4Groups, and Coaching4BusinessLeaders. Val hired his first coach while he was pastoring at a local United Methodist church. His progress was noticeable by all, and he began to wonder, "What if I adopted a coaching approach to leadership?" In that moment, a vision began to emerge-a global vision of Every Leader a Coach. Dr. Hastings is the author of numerous books and has developed four coach training programs which are accredited and approved to the highest level by the International Coach Federation. These trainings are offered globally and are offered in many languages, including English, Spanish, Portuguese and Korean. Graduates of these programs have received all three coaching credentials: ACC, PCC and MCC. Val currently holds the designation of Master Certified Coach through the International Coach Federation, its highest coaching designation. He also holds the designation of Professional Mentor-Coach. In addition to teaching at his own programs, Val holds faculty status at Coach University and Faith Evangelical Seminary. In 2006 Val was a presenter at the global gathering of the International Coach Federation and, in 2007, he served as the President of the Philadelphia ICF Chapter. Trigena H. Halley, PCC, is the founder and owner of Peak Performance CCT, LLC, which she started in 2009 as a way for her to combine her 20+ years of organizational consulting experience with professional coaching. During her professional career, Trigena has held various leadership positions in the global corporate arena, with a focus on talent development, execution of strategy, achievement of financial goals and client satisfaction. She specializes in leadership coaching, performance improvement, development of leaders, and working with organizations to employ a sustainable culture of performance and results. Her experience spans service, non-profit, manufacturing, corporate, educational and faith-based organizations. Trigena has significant experience training and coaching groups. She has led the development and implementation of large-scale leadership and coach training programs for several global corporate clients. She also offers a wide variety of individual and organizational assessments. Trigena is a Professional Mentor-Coach and holds the designation of Professional Certified Coach through the International Coach Federation.
