Ex-library. Original orange cloth binding with green text on cover and spine. Spine is worn at hinges and edges, and corners are lightly exposed. Contains catalog number on spine, stamps on page-edges, bookplate of the UVM Library on front pastedown, and checkout card pocket and dateslip on rear pastedown. Pages are lightly tanned, but clean and unmarked. This book covers the professional aspect of nursing in the 1940s, including professional development, legal concerns, the economic security of the nurse, local and national organizations and associations, types of employment, preparedness and war-relief, and international cooperation.
