About the Author

Dr. Ilango Ponnuswami is currently Professor & Head, Department of Social Work, Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli. He has published research articles in reputed journals like Indian Journal of Social Work, BOLD, Indian journal of Social Psychiatry, Indian journal of Criminology and Criminalistics and edited two books on social work. He is the editorial board member of the Journal of Transformative Education. He received the Best Youth Red Cross Programme Officer Award for 2004-2005 from the Indian Red Cross Society, Tamil Nadu Branch.
