About the Authors

Jorge Luis Borges (1890-1982), Argentine poet, critic, and short-story writer, revolutionized modern literature. He was completely blind when appointed the head of Argentina’s National Library.

Katherine Silver's award-winning translations include works by Mar�a Sonia Cristoff, Daniel Sada, C�sar Aira, Julio Cort�zar, Juan Carlos Onetti, and Julio Ram�n Ribeyro. The author of Echo Under Story, she volunteers as an interpreter for asylum seekers.

Mart�n Hadis is a professor, writer, and researcher.

Mart�n Arias is a writer, journalist, and senior researcher at the National Library's Center for Research in Argentina.
