The Program of Jesus (Paperback or Softback)

"The Program of Jesus" is an insightful exploration of the life, teachings, and mission of Jesus Christ, as interpreted through the lens of early twentieth-century Christian thought. Written by Bishop Edwin Dubose Mouzon, this work seeks to identify the core principles and the practical "program" that Jesus established for the transformation of individual lives and the broader social order. Rather than focusing solely on abstract doctrine, Mouzon emphasizes the dynamic and applicable nature of the Gospel in addressing the challenges of the modern world.

The book examines the moral and spiritual foundation of the Kingdom of God, arguing that the message of Jesus is one of active social responsibility and profound personal conviction. Mouzon explores how the teachings of Christ call for a new ethical standard that transcends traditional boundaries, advocating for a faith that is both deeply spiritual and practically engaged with the needs of humanity. This work serves as a significant example of the Social Gospel movement's influence on American theology, offering a vision of Christianity that is centered on the living example of Jesus.

Ideal for students of theology, church history, and Christian ethics, "The Program of Jesus" remains a compelling study of the enduring relevance of Christ's mission and the call to implement His visionary program in every facet of human life.
