"A Project Curriculum for Young People" is a comprehensive method guide and source planbook designed for leaders of youth organizations within the church. This work presents a structured approach to religious education, emphasizing the "project method" as a primary tool for engaging adolescents in their spiritual and social development. By focusing on active, student-centered learning, the text provides a framework for integrating faith with practical life experiences and communal service.

Divided into clear methodological sections, the book offers a wealth of resources for curriculum planning, including specific project ideas, leadership strategies, and organizational techniques. Erwin L. Shaver explores how church leaders can move beyond traditional lecture-based instruction to foster an environment of discovery and responsibility. As a significant contribution to the field of religious pedagogy, this work serves as an invaluable resource for understanding the historical development of youth ministry and the evolution of instructional design within ecclesiastical settings. It remains a foundational text for those interested in the history of education, the psychology of youth, and the practical application of Christian teachings in a group setting.
