The Project Method of Teaching is a book written by John Alford Stevenson that explores a teaching methodology that emphasizes student-centered learning through project-based activities. The book provides a comprehensive overview of the project method, including its history, theory, and practical applications in the classroom. Stevenson argues that the project method is a more effective way to teach students because it encourages them to take an active role in their own learning. By engaging in hands-on projects that are relevant to their interests and experiences, students are more motivated to learn and are able to apply what they have learned in real-world situations. The book also provides practical guidance for teachers who want to implement the project method in their own classrooms. Stevenson offers advice on how to design and implement projects, how to assess student learning, and how to manage the classroom environment to support student-centered learning. Overall, The Project Method of Teaching is a valuable resource for educators who are interested in innovative teaching methods that prioritize student engagement and learning. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
