Project Pallid

Damian Lawson might be the lone survivor of the Whitening—a mysterious illness with a not so mysterious source. And Platsville used to be home to outcasts and farmers, but it's nobody's home anymore. Hidden in his family's pantry-turned-bunker, he'll bide his time to exact revenge on the man and the monster who stole everything he loved. But the Whitening is vast, and it's erased men twice his size. Their hollow bodies stain the streets, and Damian's journey to the disease's maker becomes riddled with horrifying realities of unspeakable truths. Revelations that will sever the ties he has left, and that will leave him with a new, disturbing sense of home.

Born and raised in rural Maine, I grew up on an untraveled road in the middle of nowhere. No cable, no internet, not even streetlights: books and words became my closest friends, and I devoured anything and everything I could get my hands on. I eventually moved on to earn my degree in education, and I spent the next decade teaching middle school English. Since then, words have taken a newfound dominance over my world, and the stories that consume me spill from my fingertips with a fervor I've never known before. I'm currently living and writing in San Diego, California, where my lifelong passion for literature oozes from every keystroke.
