From the Project to Prosperity

Growing up in the Desire Project-one of New Orleans' most dangerous housing communities-Reginald Lewis learned early that survival required awareness, courage, and responsibility. As the oldest child in a single-parent household, he carried the weight of protecting his sisters while trying to understand the difficult world around him.

In From the Project to Prosperity, Lewis shares an honest and deeply personal account of the experiences that shaped his life. From family bonds and childhood influences to youthful mistakes, financial ambition, painful setbacks, and hard-earned success, his journey reveals how every decision can move a person closer to-or further away from-the life they truly want.

Lewis does not present success as an overnight transformation. He shows that lasting prosperity is built through discipline, patience, faith, consistency, and the willingness to learn from failure. His story explores the dangers of deception and chasing quick money while demonstrating how accountability, structure, and perseverance can create a stronger future.

More than a memoir, this book is a message of hope for anyone who feels limited by their environment, discouraged by past mistakes, or uncertain about what comes next. Lewis reminds readers that where they begin does not have to determine where they finish.

Through candid reflection and practical wisdom, From the Project to Prosperity encourages readers to respect the process of growth, make better choices, build success on a solid foundation, and use their experiences to uplift others. It is a story of resilience, redemption, achievement, and purpose-and a powerful reminder that it is possible to rise against the odds without forgetting where you came from.
